I'm an optimist (like you!) and the main thing I celebrate is when people beat their fear and procrastination and find the courage to create. Kudos to you for doing that.
Fast or slow is much less important than actually creating.
I've got no issue with people writing for followers and money. I write to be read, and to make a living. I want readers, and I want to earn from my creativity.
When you say "in my experience" it sounds like you're speaking from judgement of others rather than personal experience. Have you tried writing fast? Freewriting exercises?
You mention on your blog that you're a chronic procrastinator - procrastination is often linked to perfectionism.
I think you'd unlock a lot in yourself if you allowed yourself to let go and try fast writing :)
